With 20 seconds on the clock, Rich Meir’s touchdown pass to Jerome Bettis set up the winning two-point conversion from Meir to Reggie Brooks. DISC 7: 1993 REGULAR SEASON GAME vs. FLORIDA STATE (31-24): After #1 ranked Florida State scored early, the Irish then poinded the Seminoles vaunted defense for 239 rushing yards and four touchdowns. The stout Notre Dame defense held tight to preserve victory and end Florida State’s 16-game winning streak.
